WHAT IS ICTU CALLING FOR?

In line with the resolution passed at the ICTU Biennial conference in 2005 we are demanding –

·                     The right of self-determination for the Palestinian people.

·                     The right of return for Palestinian refugees under Article 13 (2) of the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

·                     The immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Israeli troops from all the territories occupied in 1967 based on UN resolutions 242 and 338.

·                     The immediate cessation of the building of illegal settlements in the occupied territories as expressed in UN resolution 465.

·                     The immediate dismantling of the Apartheid wall.    

WHAT CAN TRADE UNIONISTS DO TO HELP?

• Affiliate to TUFP-ICTU - see address below.
• Join the international boycott of Israeli goods and services - economic, sporting, cultural and academic and the campaign for divestment from companies supporting the Israeli state.
• Write to your MEP demanding that the Euro-Med preferential trading agreement with the Apartheid regime in Israel is ended.
• Put motions to your own union conferences calling for justice for Palestine
